Peter Pan

Betsy and I took Quinn and Violet to see Peter Pan at Thalia Mara...it was wonderful! First we had a fun dinner with Michael and Kate, and then it was off to the show. The girls were enthralled the entire time and I know they LOVED seeing them fly. The set was beautiful and extensive and the orchestra was outstanding. What a special night!

We even ran into a friend there...Georgia was sitting right across the aisle from us!

Open House

Martin Elementary held an Open House and we went to visit with Mrs. Cox, Quinn's teacher, and see the classroom and school. Here she is with the Panther, our school mascot. The real panthers were there too - the girl and boy panthers- and we got to see them. Tyndale even gave them five, but then said, "He gonna bite me, " and he wouldn't let us get near them for the rest of the night.

Love that she said she loves spending time with her grandparents and family!

Mrs. Cox said that Quinn is doing really well and that she is proud of her. We are too! As you can see, we got a hair feather recently...well, actually three...Quinn came home the other day with a reading certificate from our school library that she has met a reading goal. She was one of two students in all of first grade to receive one, so we needed to do something super special as a reward!

Happy Birthday Brad!

Brad and I celebrated his birthday by taking a little getaway to Natchez. Unfortunately, this is the  only picture I have of our quick but fun trip. This is some amazing bread pudding from Castles at Duleith, one of the many gorgeous historic homes in Natchez.

The next day we celebrated Hadley's birthday at Lion King 3D. Her party was so fun! After that we went to P.F. Changs for dinner to celebrate the two birthdays. They brought out a SUPER huge chocolate cake that everyone enjoyed, as you can see below.
