Quinn's first field trip

Quinn went on her first school field trip to the Ag Museum in Jackson. She was such a lucky girl because her Daddy AND Gee were able to go along too! They went on a hayride and saw animals, gardens, and a big pumpkin patch. She even got to pick out her very own special pumpkin. Her favorite part of the trip was the hayride, but I think Gee's favorite part was the apres-pumpkin trip to the bookstore!

Tyndale Locke Boerner

Here he is!! We are thrilled to welcome our new baby boy Tyndale. He arrived on October 21st at 4:31 pm. He weighed 8 lbs, 3 oz, and was 21 inches long. He is so sweet! Quinn has been such a big helper and sweet big sister. We are a bit sleep deprived right now, but so thankful for this unbelievable blessing!

Ballet Class

Quinn started ballet class last week. Of course, I forgot my camera, so I decided to document it this week. The first picture is Quinn with Mrs. Kathy, her teacher, whom she adores! The picture in the middle is of some girls in her class. There are 14! Today we went with Kate and Dorothy to get sno-balls after class..yum!

Happy 4th Birthday Hadley!

We celebrated Hadley's fourth birthday this weekend with a super huge waterslide, an aloha Barbie cake, and hula hoops! Quinn and Hadley were on the waterslide NONSTOP...they really enjoyed it. Here are some pictures of the event. Look closely at Quinn's green teeth in the last picture...a hazard of the grass skirt frosting, I guess!

Hurricane Gustav

We are so thankful that the storm was not as powerful as feared. We still had many trees down in our neighborhood and lost power for a night, but we are grateful that our family members and our house made it through without problems.
On the bright side, the Parnells were able to evacuate to our house so that we could turn it into a FUN weekend! As you can tell by the pictures, many girly activities were enjoyed by all. We did a bunch of painting, ballet, dress-up, and of course hair salon! Elise and Quinn had so much fun together that we were worried about what would happen when the Parnells had to leave to go home! They did return home yesterday, fortunately to a house with power and without damage. We can't wait to see them again!

Visiting Mrs. Virginia's class

Yesterday was visiting day in Mrs. Virginia's class. We are so excited that she will be Quinn's teacher this year. She is so sweet and wonderful! After we picked up Daddy and looked around the new classroom, we took Quinn out for a little-lady lunch at Mitchells. We laughed so hard because Quinn told Mrs. Virginia that baby brother's name was going to be "CousCous." She decided that would be a good name last week when she and Gimmie were cooking couscous!
Exchange Club Fair

Every year we look forward to the Exchange Club Fair. It is open the week before school starts, and is so much fun! We rode the merry-go-round, train, swings, and the big ferris wheel (which was much scarier for me than for Quinn!). Here is a picture of the whole crew...eating a healthy dinner and Nic and Betsy serious about some bingo!

More Duck
Duck, North Carolina

We played on the beach and in the pool in Duck. We shopped and played with cousins. We ate and laughed...what else could you ever want in a family vacation? Here are some pictures from around Duck. One is of Quinn and her favorite winged horse in Duck...the rediculously pink one in front of the Lilly store, of course! Also, here is a picture of Quinn playing with the Floam that Meme got her. Definitely an outside toy, it can break into a million sticky pieces, but we had such fun making "birthday cakes" and "candles" with it. It really is quite addictive, Meme and I were hooked right away, but before long, Brad had a handful of it too!
more Norfolk...

We visited the Children's Museum, the Botanical Gardens, and the Zoo all in a few days! We got to see all the sights, and here are some more pictures from our travels. Quinn even made a friend in Tucker, my parents loveable yet sometimes grouchy cat. She was SO patient and tolerant of Quinn's attention! There are so many more pictures that I could post for days, but we need to leave some room for our family get-together in Duck, NC.
