Kentucky Derby Party

Mark and Dorothy threw an awesome Kentucky Derby party...so much to do! We bet on horses, ate crawfish, drank mint juleps, enjoyed the beautiful weather, the kids had a bouncy house...and a great time was had by all! We all picked our horses and bet...there was one horse left over so we decided that was the "house" horse....and he won! So the LeBlancs got to keep the pot.

Quinn decided that she was more of a headband girl than a hat girl, so she picked this one for the Derby party.

All the ladies in their hats..

(told you we shared those Cheez Balls!)

My crawfish girl! She can peel them herself! And loves them!

Early May

Here are some pictures of things we have been doing in early May. Big Daddy is running for a Senate seat, so we are in full campaign mode! He has a lot of support and we are super excited for him!

The other day James and Tyndale had a playdate and did practically nothing except mow the lawn! They even got out sticks to "fix" them when they broke. Below...a swim day!

 ....artists at work...
Here is something that is such a wonderful memory from my childhood! Cheez Balls!! Healthy? No, but it's not like we had 10 lbs of them! (ok, ok...we did...but we took them to a party to share and left them there). These just bring back memories of being at the Country Club, swimming with my sisters...such fun times!
Oh! And the furniture search is over! We got a couch and chairs for the living room...now we just need draperies, lighting....always a project!

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny visited us and left us all kinds of goodies! Swimsuits, candy, shoes, doodle books, a praying mantis kit and a police motorcycle!

We are so blessed and have so many things to be thankful for this Easter season! God is good!

6th Annual Easter Egg Hunt

We hosted the Easter Egg Hunt this year and had such a great time. The weather was beautiful, the turnout was great and all the kids had such a fun time!

Quinn and Sara Rodgers covering their ears for the airhorn. We hid over 2,000 eggs!

Tyndale was not really in a hurry to collect them. He was more interested in opening each one to see what was inside. He especially loved the ones with quarters in them...he put the quarters right into his pockets.

The Easter bunny visited and Tyndale LOVED him! He immediately brought him an egg out of his basket as a gift. We were joking with the Belks that not a single picture was taken of the Easter bunny without James and/or Tyndale in it. They just couldn't keep away!

Here are the boys with their fave bunny!

Mississippi Children's Museum

Quinn and Melanie and I visited the MS Children's Museum and met the Simms family there. We just love all the fun things they have to do there. Last time we visited Tyndale was with us, so we didn't have the opportunity to spend a lot of time in the art areas. This time we did ALL the art stuff...spin art, gun blast painting, tissue creations...such fun! Here is Melanie in the bubble.

Melanie and Quinn gun blast painting.

We enjoyed the museum and then ate a yummy lunch at Newks. Fun Saturday!

Easter Eggs

Here are some pictures of dyeing Easter eggs. So fun! Quinn had a puppies and kittens set, and Tyndale had Star Wars. I don't have a pic of the finished product, but they were beautiful! and tasty!
