a little redecorating...

so we have changed a few things around the house...how do you like it?

ok, so by now you know that I am totally kidding, right? Sad to say that this is not actually my house, but a drool-worthy exhibit for Kristy's St. Andrews fundraiser. It was a HUGE project, centered around green building and eco-friendly furnishings, retailers, etc. It was a great learning experience! Brad, Tyndale and I got the super special tour with Laurie Smith of Trading Spaces fame...she also happens to be one of Kristy's close friends and a super sweet girl! And she has unbelievable talent...these areas were stunning.

Here is Kristy at work. I know she will be proud and relieved when this weekend is over!

Afterwards we got to eat sushi with Uncle Michael. (unfortunately he arrived after this pic, and I didn't get one of him!)

Are we in trouble or what?? Today Quinn was beginning to play with one of our several (seriously) light sabers, and I said words that have probably been uttered daily in every household with children, "Quinn, be sure not to point that light saber toward Tyndale." She says "ok," then proceeds to make it zoom out within inches of his face. I said "Quinn, I just told you NOT to point that at Tyndale!"...she thinks for a few seconds and replies, "...but I wasn't quite sure what 'toward' meant." A future candidate for Boerner Law Firm? Possibly...

Also a quick Tyndale story...it always cracks us up when Tyndale wakes up in the morning, because he just plays in his crib and talks to himself for awhile. For the past few days, he has been giving all of his lovies kisses when he wakes up. We can hear him going "mwah, mwah!" Such a sweet boy!

oh, this is interesting...

Remember our friend who is pregnant? I cannot yet reveal her identity, but I have some news. "Oh, this is interesting" is what the sonographer said when she saw THIS:

That's right! TWINS!! So exciting!

Q is for Quinn

...and Queen! Quinn's class is studying the letter Q this week. One of the moms brought some tiaras so that all of the girls could be "Queens!" Mrs. Theresa thought it would be fun to let the "Kings" escort the "Queens" to the cafeteria during lunch. Each King got to pick his Queen, and Jonah picked Quinn as his Queen. So fun!

Valentine's Party

Quinn's class had a Valentine party and they had such fun! Quinn gave out butterfly/lollipop valentines, and she loved all of the ones she received from her classmates!

Happy Mardi Gras!

We had such fun at Mardi Gras this year! We caught Iris and Tucks on Saturday, then we went home with the LeBlancs and Hopwoods and cooked out hamburgers. All the girls had a great time looking at all their loot...especially the squirting potty! Sunday we went to the Otis home for the Thoth parade and party. We got to see Michael and Katy, the Parnells, Adams, Otis', and many more friends!

Big Daddy is quite skilled at creating snowmen. We had a ball dressing them up like Mardi Gras revelers! We are ready to "Laissez les bon temps rouler!"

Snow day!

What a wonderful treat! We enjoyed the six inches of beautiful snow this morning. We threw snowballs, caught snowflakes on our tongues, and made snowmen. Big Daddy and Gimmie came over and we had a ball!

Tyndale wasn't too sure if he liked the snow...his boots kept his feet dry, but he was a bit wobbly.

Valentine's Day present

Quinn got an early Valentine's Day present today...can you guess what it is?

That's right! Earrings!! They are magnetic...and really cute. She picked out the diamond ones because they are just like mine and she said we could wear them to school together!

...and they lived happily ever after...

We have enjoyed spending time with Saint, the puppy that adopted us last week. He is precious, a quick learner, and very sweet. But there was one member of our family who was not too excited about his presence:

But we have some really great news. Yesterday Saint was adopted into his forever home...with our close friends, the Pounds! He has a ton of land to run around, other sweet dogs to play with, a lake to swim in during the summer, a warm and snuggly mudroom to sleep in, and two (soon to be three) darling kids to love him. When I called to check on him this morning, he was "working" with his new daddy, Mitch. He will get to be with Mitch most days, and I have a feeling they will get to be great friends. We are so excited that we will get to watch Saint grow up, and we couldn't be happier about his new home!
