our little entrepreneur

Quinn decided that she wanted to set up a lemonade stand this afternoon. We had Kool-Aid, so we set up a Kool-Aid stand! She had a ton of customers, including Meg, Noah, Gimmie, and the Massengills. She made $10.00!
Kate and Lucie came to help out and the girls had such a great time together!
On another note, Quinn decided that she wanted to read US a bedtime story tonight, so she proceeded to read the entire "The Blanket" book. We were so excited that we suggested "Goodnight Moon"...and she read the entire thing with minimal help! We are so proud of her reading skills!

Visit to Madison

We had a wonderful weekend in Madison, visiting the Simms and the Betzholds. Kate and Tyndale really enjoyed hanging out together. ( I am singing the song "We are the Littles" in my head! ha!)

and Tyndale found Mrs. Sheila's dogs VERY exciting! Ru-ru-ru!

One of the highlights of the weekend was the boat! We spent lots of time enjoying the beautiful weather onboard Cap'n Noel's pleasure cruise!

On Saturday we went to the Natural Science Museum - one of our favorites! They were having "Nature Fest," and one of the special exhibits was a show about bats, given by a bat expert. How huge is this one? Don't worry Meme, it only eats fruit...not your grandchildren!

They also had face painting...here is Quinn with the animal she chose...a lizard!

And you can't go to the Natural Science Museum without enjoying the aquariums!

That afternoon was Mary Kate Sandifer's birthday party, and all the girls were invited, so off to Dancing Divas we went for a totally girly time! They got their makeup and hair done just like a real ballerina..by real ballerinas! They also got to make their own lip gloss to keep. So fancy!

...and back to the boat...

Quinn and Hadley were the brave two that wanted to go tubing. They did well...until the rope holder broke and they were stranded at sea...only for a few minutes!

this is one good-looking crew!

Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny came bearing many gifts this year. Princess and the Frog, clothes and candy for Quinn. Shoes, clothes and candy for Tyndale.

The Gimmie and Big Daddy bunny came too...and brought an ice cream maker. We LOVED the first batch!

Fifth Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Quinn and Sara Rodgers getting ready for the hunt.
James and Uncle Nic

What a beautiful table!
Wonder what's in here?
Wow! Look at all of those eggs! But she didn't get a fuzzy chick! So Noah, a sweet boy in her class, gave her his--so thoughtful!

Brad, Tyndale and the Easter Bunny...T was still not so sure about this guy...
...and this is how he watched E. Bunny from across the patio...

Sweet Daddy and his loves!
The party ended early for some of us, however. Tyndale wasn't acting like himself and then he threw up at the party. So I immediately took him home to clean him up...all the way there he said, "BA? BA? BA?"...that boy sure does love a bath!

egg decorating

This year Quinn was our egg dye-er extraordinaire! Our dyes came in really cute rabbit shapes...so cute that Quinn wanted to keep one! She enjoyed THREE eggs for breakfast this morning!

Quinn's 5th birthday party- Halloween in Spring!

When I asked Quinn what type of theme she would like for her 5th birthday party, she said..."I want a spider cake, and I want it to be scary like Halloween!" So we decided that we would have a "Halloween in Spring" theme, complete with costumes. We had it at Mr. Charley's fun jumps...they had a super huge slide, a bouncy castle, popcorn, balloons, cotton candy, games, an much more! Here is my scary little birthday witch.
