Quinn competed in the Mississippi State Horse Show this weekend and she did a wonderful job! Just look how cute my little cowgirl is!! She and Sara Rodgers had such fun playing together and getting themselves and their ponies ready.
Tyndale had fun eating nachos...and getting cheese ALL over his face! After the first day we got to eat a yummy sushi lunch with Big Daddy and Gimmie.
Her class was the first event the next day, so we got up before the sun and headed to Jackson. We saw the most beautiful harvest moon as we were pulling onto I-55. We watched the sun come up and talked about 9/11 and what happened ten years ago. I didn't plan on answering the question, "Why does God make bad people like Osama Bin Laden?" before 6 am (!) but I thoroughly enjoyed talking with her about heroes of 9/11, terrorists, security and defense of the US, etc. and hearing her thoughts about all of that. As she grows, her world is growing too and I love to be able to have these conversations with her.
Here is Quinn the getting ready for the Leadline competition. She won a trophy in this event!
Afterwards Quinn and I ate brunch at Broad Street Bakery..look at that waffle..mmm! Fun weekend of "Horse-backin" as Tyndale calls it.
